LOAR founder, Amber Russell, graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelors in Psychology before graduating with distinguished honor to the Order of the Coif, in the top 10% from the University of Texas Law School. She started her career with the international firm Baker Botts and spent decades honing her craft. She has been recognized for excellence by Thompson Reuters (Rising Star 2013-2022, 2022 Up and Coming Texas 100 and Women 50), Martindale-Hubbell, Top Attorney by Austin Monthly, and Travis County Women Lawyers Association. She serves on the board of mentoring associations in Austin and Dallas, supporting other women attorneys. She and her husband also serve on the board of the nonprofit they launched, SOAR Texas (www.loarpllc.com/SOAR), providing $100K in annual scholarships, to help open doors for ‘first females’.

While attending the University of Texas Law School, she worked with groups to serve victims of domestic and sexual violence as well as individuals alleging they were wrongfully convicted. She is a frequent teacher and invited lecturer for legal, entrepreneurial and leader groups.
